My Story
Dr. Miguel Baique is a purpose-driven leader whose journey reflects a deep commitment to people, equity, and growth. From his early career in retail management to his transformative leadership in higher education, Miguel has built a reputation for turning vision into action and strategy into human impact.
The son of Peruvian immigrants, Miguel’s story is one of perseverance, gratitude, and service. His early experiences taught him the value of hard work, empathy, and education as pathways to opportunity—principles that continue to guide his work today. Over the past 15 years, he has led initiatives that expand access, strengthen belonging, and empower individuals to achieve their potential.
As Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Baique Growth Partners, Miguel blends his expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, and inclusive leadership to help institutions and businesses align purpose with performance. Beyond consulting, he serves as Director of Regional Advancement at the University of Rochester, fostering relationships that connect generosity with impact.
Miguel holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester, an MPA from SUNY Brockport, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Communication from SUNY Geneseo. He is also pursuing his Executive MBA at the Simon Business School (University of Rochester). At his core, Miguel believes leadership is about stewardship—elevating others, strengthening communities, and leaving systems better than they were found.
